Hatchville Pottery - at 494 Boxberry Hill Road, off Route 151 in East Falmouth - is open year-round in Falmouth.

We live here on Cape Cod 12 months of the year, and Hollis’s work is in the studio at the pottery, so visitors can come by any time, summer or winter.

But it can be quiet out here, and Hollis may sometimes be in town doing errands or getting a cup of coffee at the village’s best coffee shop, Coffee Obsession.

If you prefer to talk to the maker, it’s a good idea to call ahead (508-563-1948) or e-mail (hatchvillepottery@comcast.net) to make sure he’ll be there when you arrive.
We have open studio sales and kiln openings several times a year, usually with Falmouth potter Angela Rose and other local artists.

PARKING
Please park if at all possible in the gravel parking area in front of our studio. If you have to park on the edge of Brady Drive, please leave plenty of room for our neighbors to come and go.

Annual Holiday Open Studio Dec. 15-16

For the fourth year, we'll open the pottery studio here, as well as our home, for a holiday sale of work handmade in Falmouth and Pocasset. In addition to Hollis's pottery, there will be pottery by Angela Rose, blankets of Peterson Farm wool from Sue Shoen, jewelry by Kim Collins, handmade journals by Ruth Bleakley and paintings and sculpture by Donna Sutherland.

Hollis will be firing the gas kiln on Friday the 14th, and we'll open the kiln and pull out the new pots at 11 a.m. on the 15th. It's always fun to see and handle the new, warm pots as they come from the kiln. It's
also a chance to see what worked and - occasionally - what didn't in that firing. There will be vases, pouring bowls, faceted bowls, new squared mugs and teabowls in the firing. Also, this year's eggnog cups
by Angela and Hollis will be in the firing. The first 30 people to show up Saturday get an eggnog cup as a gift. Oh ... and eggnog in it, too.

Anyone here at 12:30 on the 15th can also eat, since we'll repeat last year's successful potluck lunch. Two years ago, Ed Sholkovitz showed up with hot dogs on Saturday and combined them with my New Mexico red chile to make very good chile dogs. So last year we repeated the chile dog theme and we'll do it again this year.

Please come. And, as always, please park as far off the road as you can get, so that our neighbors can come and go freely.

DANA’S KITCHEN NOW HAS HATCHVILLE POTTERY

Have a cup of coffee at Dana’s Kitchen on Sippewissett Road and drink from a Hatchville Pottery mug. Dana and Arthur and their crew at this relaxed little restaurant and bakery now serve coffee or tea in mugs made right here in Falmouth. And Dana’s Kitchen is also carrying a selection of other functional pots from Hatchville.

Other retail outlets also carrying our work are the two Coffee Obsessions - Falmouth and Woods Hole - the Inkwell book store on Main Street in Falmouth, Collyer’s Gallery and Framing in Mattapoisett and - soon - the Daily Brew in Cataumet.
